Log and firewood delivery in Crawley
A Crawley stove owner who types “log delivery Crawley” or “firewood Crawley” usually wants a load that will reach an RH10 or RH11 postcode, a clear bag or volume, and wood dry enough for a modern stove. The town sits in the north of West Sussex, close to Surrey, so some listings are based locally and others deliver in from Horsham or Horley.

Nearby, Grange Farm Crawley Down is a separate listing for Crawley Down and Turners Hill, not Crawley town. Confirm whether your Crawley address is in range before treating it as a local drop.
The West Sussex county list
Crawley is one of the towns named on the West Sussex log suppliers hub. That page currently gathers 15 published listings based in West Sussex. Where confirmed prices exist, the hub shows published bag prices from £6 to £190, cubic metre prices from £140 to £366, and bulk bag prices from £95 to £256.57. Those figures are county-wide snapshots. Confirm the current price and unit with the business.
The hub is useful if your address sits on the edge of a radius, towards Gatwick, Copthorne or the Surrey boundary. Our guide to firewood delivery across Sussex, Surrey and Kent sets out the usual models: a local radius, named towns, or a postcode check. How to choose a log supplier near you is the wider checklist. Neighbouring town pages include Horsham, East Grinstead and Forest Row.
What Crawley buyers should check
A town-centre terrace and a house towards Ifield or Maidenbower can sit in different delivery rules. A free 15-mile radius from Horsham is not the same as a courier or pallet drop.
- Whether delivery is free, radius-based, courier, pallet, or extra on a small order.
- Whether the price is for a net, barrow bag, bulk bag, crate or loose load, and what volume arrives in cubic metres.
- Whether the product is kiln-dried or seasoned.
- Google review count, and whether recent reviews mention dry logs and reliable delivery.
A lower headline figure can disappear once delivery is added. See what a cubic metre, a bulk bag and a loose load mean before you treat two bag names as the same amount of wood.
Moisture, dry logs and labels
GOV.UK guidance on selling wood for domestic use in England says wood sold for household heating in volumes of less than 2 cubic metres must have a moisture content of 20 percent or less. Sales of 2 cubic metres or more are treated as a large load. The seller must still give you the official customer notice on drying and moisture.
A Crawley order under 2 cubic metres should be dry enough, ideally under 20 percent moisture. Ask the supplier or use a moisture meter. KNT Logs is recorded here as kiln dried hardwood. The other Crawley listings describe kiln-dried products or published cubic metre loads. Those words are drying methods, not a moisture reading. See firewood moisture, kiln-dried versus seasoned logs, and kiln dried logs in Sussex.
After the lorry leaves
Dry wood can take on rain again on an open drive. Have a store ready: a roof, air through the sides, and the stack raised off the soil. That is the same advice as in how to store firewood outdoors. For a large winter load, see buying logs in winter.
Log Price Guide is a free directory. Optional listing plans are Featured at £95 a year and Premium at £199 a year. Then find local log suppliers or open the supplier database. Published figures are snapshots. Confirm volume and delivery with the business before you pay.
